Scientific and Reliable Surgical Approach to Liver and Kidney Transplantation
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Veysel Umman provides modern and evidence-based surgical care in liver and kidney transplantation, as well as liver and pancreas surgery.

Dr. Veysel Umman
Dr. Veysel Umman completed his secondary education at American Robert College (2004) and graduated from Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine (2010). During his education, he worked as an observer and research assistant at USC Keck School of Medicine (Los Angeles), Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (Cornell University), and Yale University.
Between 2010 and 2013, he worked in the Organ Transplantation Department at Yale University with Prof. Dr. Şükrü Emre. In 2012, he passed the USMLE examinations and received the ECFMG certification, and in 2013 he completed the Postdoctoral Research Fellowship program at Yale University.
Between 2014 and 2019, he completed his General Surgery residency at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine and became a General Surgery Specialist. In 2019, he received training in
hepatopancreatobiliary and robotic surgery at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. He completed his mandatory service at Fatsa State Hospital between 2019 and 2021.
Between 2021 and 2023, he worked at the Ege University Organ Transplant Application and Research Center. He also participated in clinical studies and surgical trainings at international centers including İnönü University Liver Transplant Institute, Asan Medical Center (South Korea), and Tokyo Women’s Medical University (Japan).
Throughout his academic career, he has 41 national and international congress presentations, 31 scientific publications, and 8 book chapters. He also serves as a reviewer for several scientific journals and is a member of the HPB Association Education Committee.
